Small Groups

Small Groups are a vital part of our communal life here at CHPC.  Most meet weekly in the home of a group member (usually the leader's home).   We find that Godly conversations are often easier to have within the comfort of each other's living rooms.  A typical Small Group is 8-10 people who pray for each other, meet and discuss a lesson nearly every week, and often have special dinners together.

Sunday Morning Groups

  • Cornerstone Class

A class in which different members lead discussion based upon biblical principals. If you would like to be involved in discussions, come join us.

Contact Donna Weinman, Home # 239-6774 or cell 943-8174

  • Youth Sunday School

You are invited to join us for Youth Sunday School. We will meet each week from 10:10am – 10:50am in the Youth Room Classroom. Using our church’s focus on prayer, intentional invitation and radical hospitality, we will be focusing on some of these topics in the weeks to come. We will learn to engage in more meaningful prayer as a group, and we will study the Bible, and specifically the book of Matthew, using Jesus’ teachings and examples of hospitality to shape our own lives.

  • Johnson Memorial Class

Johnson Memorial Class was formed in the mid-50's and has been in existence the longest of any Sunday School class at CHPC. The first 10-15 minutes of class time is spent singing familiar hymns, remembering those who are sick or having birthdays, and discussing charity opportunities. The lessons are from the Presbyterian Church Uniform Lesson Series. Everyone is invited to attend.

Class contact/lesson leader is Barbara Kirk, phone 335-5860.

  • Disciple Class

    Study: NIV Standard Lesson Commentary

A year round study of bible verses and lessons. Group discussion encouraged.

  • Remnant Class

This group of Eclectic Christians meets in Room 221 upstairs in the Multi Bldg each Sunday morning. We are an open, welcoming group whose members span several decades from young parents thru octogenarians. While we care deeply about each other and our commitment to studying Gods Word, we can never be accused of taking ourselves too seriously! Come join us for good fellowship, Good News, and good humor.
