The Rev. J. David Randolph joined Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church as Pastor and Head of Staff in June of 2021. A South Carolina native, David is a graduate of Clemson University and Columbia Theological Seminary. Prior to seminary, David worked in the management and mortgage banking field. His first call in ministry was as Associate Pastor for Young Adults at First Presbyterian Church in Oxford, Mississippi.
Basically, he is a bow tie wearing extrovert who loves people, podcasts, audiobooks, adventures, musicals, black coffee, and Legos. He is passionate about creating engaging communities of faith where all are welcome to do life together filled with meaningful worship, active Christian discipleship, and intentional mission opportunities.
David and his wife Katherine, an optometrist, are the proud parents of three small children, Cragon, Betsy, and Andrew.

Tyler Paulsen
Director of Christian Education
Tyler's office hours are Tuesday-thursday.
Tyler joined our staff January of 2022 as the Director of Christian Education. He is a Northeast Tennessee native from Elizabethton who is a graduate of Johnson University and Emmanuel Christian Seminary. Tyler's wife Marissa is an ESL teacher with Johnson City Schools.
Tyler loves laughing, enjoys a good book, and loves spending time with his wife, two ridiculous dogs, and his grandpa cat.
